This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) outlines the policy of VCI Global Ltd and its subsidiaries (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) with regards to our compliance with the requirements of all applicable data protection and privacy legislation, in particular, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia (“PDPA”).

This Privacy Policy govern your access to and use of the Company's services on our website, including all pages and features within the website (collectively, the “Site”) and this Site is owned and operated by us. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes what information this Site gathers about you, how we use that information, and what steps we take to protect that information.

By using this Site, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. All information provided via the contact form displayed on our website would be used to respond to any inquiries or requests from you.

We may transfer or disclose your information we collect about you (including personally identifiable information) to the Company's group of companies including, if any, the Company's parent/holding company, subsidiaries, related and/or associated companies that are located in different countries, including, but not limited to, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States which may be accessed by personnel authorised by us, and in limited circumstances to third parties in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and/or governmental requests.

8. DATA RETENTION

9. GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

We maintain our commitment to protect the privacy of our users and abide by the legislation of all regions we operate. We are willing to deliver the best experience to our end-users. Considering the above, personal data (if any) of our users who are habitually located in the European Union, is processed under the “purposes of legitimate interests” as outlined in Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). The provisions of GDPR can be also applied to how data is processed and verified outside the European Union. Such an approach also helps us to fight against fraud and reimburse our contractors and agents. In accordance with the applicable laws, users are authorized to access and modify their own data held by the companies, which includes data collection, ad tracking, surveys, cookies, location data, and every other bit of a user's “digital footprint”. Users are also entitled to transmit their personal details to other organizations. The GDPR also enforces companies to determine their in-house data security policies. The California Code of Regulations defines a “resident” as:

every individual who is domiciled in the State of California who is outside the State of California for a temporary or transitory purpose.

All other individuals are defined as “non-residents”.

If you are a resident of the State of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information. We may use your personal information for our own business purposes, such as for undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration. This is not considered to be “selling” of your personal data.

If you are using an authorized agent to exercise your right to opt-out, we may deny a request if the authorized agent does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf.

11. CHILDREN'S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION

We are in compliance with the requirements of the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA - U.S regulation), the GDPR and the PDPA regarding the protection of the personal data of minors. This Site is directed to adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from minors under the age of 18 without prior parental consent.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a visitor under the age of 18 on the Site, we will delete the information from our records. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18, and you believe your child has provided personal information to our Site that you would like us to delete, please contact us.
